A caddy wins a sexual harassment suit against the former owner of a golf club who made fun of him for losing two matches to a woman. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission ordered Delalio Associates to pay Eugene Palumbo $34,000 for the public ridicule.

A mongrel dog, Deuce, has been awarded lifetime membership in a golf club in South Wales due to his mysterious skill of finding waywardly shot balls. Deuce returned more than 3000 balls sliced or shanked into the long grass as his owner and the club member Jim Phillis began taking him for daily walks from his house bordering the course.

NASA is studying whether golf is safe in space. Mission controllers are considering whether to let a Russian cosmonaut drive a gold-plated golf ball off the international space station in August. The Russians have agreed to the publicity stunt for Canadian golf club maker Element 21 Golf.
