As a punishment for not doing a good job, Kyrgyzstan's leader is not allowing officials to take any holidays until later this year.

Since President Kurmanbek Bakiyev came to power in Kyrgyzstan last year, the area has been plagued by crime and violence.

Bakiyev said, "I'll take measures if I find out that even one of the ministers has gone on holidays before December. I think it's not time to rest, it's time to work."

Also, as a way for the officials to focus on domestic issues, Bakiyev has ordered them to cut down the number of foreign trips that they make.
