Apparently, it is never too late to get your high school diploma.

At 98 years old, Josephine Belasco finally received her high school diploma, thanks to her grandson's advice.

She had dropped out of high school back in the 1920's because she had to take care of her severely ill sister. She had also gotten a job to help with the family. She was only one semester away from graduating at the time.

According to school officials, her records from back then were still on file at the school and arranged for her to receive an honorary diploma by tutoring other students at the school.

Belasco stated after receiving her diploma, "I'm just stunned. I can't believe it mushroomed like this."
