A pile of red, orange and green jelly has caused panic in Halle, near Leipzig in Germany as residents in the area called the police to report a "mysterious substance. " After the call, the police issued a major terrorist alert in the area. According to police they received a call from residents describing the substance which they feared could be toxic.

If a local ballot initiative passes in Eureka Springs this November, people can smoke the green, green grass of home and not be in the jailhouse now. To the surprise of pot enthusiasts statewide, local leaders of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws have been able to gather enough signatures in this Bible Belt, small tourist economy based town, to put on the election ballot a proposed change in the catagory for minor marijuana offences.

A man who was outraged because his neighbor's children contributed in breaking his wife's eyeglasses sought to bomb their house to avenge the incident. Police say a neighbor was visiting 27-year-old David Michielsen's wife on Sunday. Her children and those of Michielsen broke the glasses of his wife. Outraged by the incident, Michielsen sent the neighbor and her children off his house.

Green Bay, WI (AHN)- Green Bay Police Lt. Todd LePine said a pig withstood taser shots from police officers and eluded authorities for more than an hour after wandering onto Green Bay's major highway. The 150-pound pig was reportedly spotted by a passing driver on U. S. 41 at 6 p. m. Wednesday night, and went into traffic several times, creating a hazard. LePine said officers located the pig about 7 p. m. and made two attempts to subdue it with a stun gun, but it fled both times after pulling out the Taser probes.

A rare Philippine green ring snake has smuggled itself into Germany by hiding in a tourist's underwear. Helga Gurnsteidl, 31, from Nuremburg, Germany said she was returning after a trip to the Philippines when she put her dirty clothes in the washing machine for cleaning.
