A primary school teacher from Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands in England has been sacked from his job after telling her students there is no Santa.
Parents of students from the Boldmere Junior school in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands said their children were heartbroken after their 30-year-old supply teacher told that Santa does not exists.
They were furious when their kids returned home telling them they had also been taught elves and fairies did not exist either. The unnamed teacher has been terminated from the school because of the incident.
A mother identified as Amanda Piovesana, 30, told The Sun newspaper, "It's taken away the magic. I am upset because it has taken anyway a magical part of Christmas for my daughter and a teacher should not have the right to do that.
"She told them 'All of you are old enough to know there is no Father Christmas or fairies. If you ask your parents to tell you they will say there is no such thing.'
Another mother of a pupil adds, 'Everyone is disgusted."
Head Diane Thomas-Wood confirmed, "We have followed up the matter with the agency. Action has been taken and the teacher is certainly not with us anymore."
