his year's incoming freshmen for college were raised in a world were wars and revolutions have always been televised, and regular mail was rarely used to send a greeting.
Every year, a Wisconsin college puts out a list explaining the world through the eyes of their newest students.
This year's freshmen were born in 1988 and have really only known two presidents. Those are just some of the 75 pop culture landmarks that the Beloit College Mindset List names.
The lists began in 1998 and school officials say the list helps staff and faculty relate to incoming students.
Some other examples include No. 19 on the list, "google" as a verb; No. 33 "They have no idea why we needed to ask, '... Can we all get along?'", a reference to the 1992 Rodney King beating. Other items include growing up with credit cards and reality television.
