A Philippine judge who claimed to have psychic powers and the ability to talk with "dwarf friends" was sacked on "administrative grounds" after a failed psychiatric test; he later lost his appeal to keep the job. Judge Florentino Floro allegedly claimed supernatural abilities and the ability to foretell the future. He would also hold "healing sessions" in his chambers.

The beaches of Italy offer a wide variety of facilities including loungers, umbrellas, ice cream and a chance to get a massage or a tattoo. However, the Adriatic resort of Pescara is now offering a new attraction - the singularly unique opportunity to wipe away the sinful hangover from the previous night's partying. Don Vito Canto, 33, who is a priest from a village near Pescara, said he listened to confessions "almost uninterruptedly" from Saturday night through Sunday morning at a improvised shrine on the sands of the beaches.

Ypsilanti Township, MI (AHN)-Authorities say a 5-year-old boy hopped behind the wheel of a sport utility vehicle and drove it several blocks looking for his mother following an argument with his grandmother. The child was not injured in his short drive, and his grandmother's 2004 Cadillac Escalade was reportedly stopped without incident.
