The world turned upside down for an Iowa bird shooter when he accidentally became the shooting target of hunting dogs. James Harris, 37, shot a bird at the start of the pheasant season in Iowa on Saturday, but dogs stepped on the gun he left on the ground while trying to retrieve the dead bird and shot pellets into his leg.

In a freak hunting accident, a man who was supposedly out hunting in Iowa got himself shot in the leg by a dog. According to local reports, the accident freak occurred after James Harris, 37, put his gun on the ground to retrieve a fallen pheasant.

United States Vice President Dick Cheney has reportedly taken up his rifle and has gone back to the shooting range Monday, in upstate New York. This time, the preferred location was the Hudson River Valley, where the vice president spent the entire day in the privacy of the Clove Valley Rod & Gun Club, located at Dutchess County, just outside of Lagrangeville.

A man handed over a fake one million dollar bill at a supermarket in Pittsburgh Saturday and asked for change. BBC News was told by police at the scene that the unidentified man became abusive when a manager at the Giant Eagle supermarket confiscated the counterfeit note. He brandished a scanner gun and broke an electronic payment machine.

According to police reports, a local Jacksonville, Florida mother used a gun to protect her son from bullies at a school bus stop Friday. Forty-year-old Johnna Briggs aimed her gun at a couple of students exiting the bus and asked, "Does anyone have something to say?"
