Police officials arrested a woman Sunday for attempted murder after she allegedly fired shots at two men whose dog caused damage to her Christmas decorations. Reports said that 28-year-old Ethel Shannon McKinney opened fire and shot one man in the upper torso and arm, while the other man was also wounded in the arm.

A car passenger was apprehended by police officials for pulling out a toy gun and aiming it at the head of the driver friend, causing panic. The incident occurred during the late afternoon on Interstate 70. The man, identified as 23-year old college student Justin Carman who, while driving back with three other friends from a football game, apparently took out the toy gun from his pocket and upon aiming it at the head of the driver.

Three men robbed at gunpoint a couple of Boy Scouts selling Christmas trees Monday night. The thieves reportedly knocked the boys over, along with their fathers, and made off with $350. Both fathers and one of the boys were punched in the face.

A man's life was spared during a store robbery as a bullet fired by the robber was deflected by his wedding ring. Donnie Register, was held at gunpoint by one of the two men robbing his store The Antique Market, said Sgt. Jeffery Scott. The robbers started by walking into the store asking to see a coin collection. As Register retrieved the collection, one of the men then pulled out a gun, pointed it at Register, and demanded money.

A stapler-wielding man successfully robbed a Kentucky ice cream store, ran away with $175, and was caught shortly after by police. The culprit, 32-year-old Gerald Rocchi, did not resist arrest and was charged with first-degree robbery in a Boyd District Court. Witnesses said Rocchi was wearing a ski mask when he flashed a chrome-plated stapler to hold up The Ice Cream Shop in Ashland on Tuesday. The employees manning the counter immediately handed over the cash.
