People hoping to remember deceased loved ones with something more permanent than a lock of hair or faded photo can now have a piece of their DNA saved in a pendant. Eiwa Industry Co. which mainly manufactures decorative metal fixtures for houses, has recently began selling pendants for preserving genetic mementos of the dead.

Satnam Singh is an illegal immigrant who is currently serving time in an Ohio federal prison on a passport crime, but he is about to be sent to Florida to serve additional charges where he will receive a haircut against his religious beliefs. The Florida state penal code requires any incoming male prisoners to receive short haircuts and a close shave.

A 7-year-old boy was sent home from his school for expressing his personality and individuality by wearing a Mohawk. School officials in Tula have deemed little Dallas Saenz's Mohawk hairdo as disruptive.

A North Carolina mother charged with abducting her two children was accused of posing as a man while on the run, reports The Associated Press. The authorities say the heavyset woman with cropped hair and a slight mustache even had the kids calling her "Daddy. " The kids have been reunited with their father and will return home to Arizona.

A New York State Senator, Queens Democrat Ada Smith, is accused of harassing a staffer in her Albany office after allegedly throwing coffee at the worker and pulling her hair. This is not the first time Smith faces allegations by an employee. In 1996, she allegedly threatened a staffer with a knife, and last year she was accused by a former chief-of-staff of firing him because he is homosexual. Smith denies both charges.
