A hamster escaped from his owner and traveled from Devon to Scotland.

Fudge, a pet hamster of Kingsly Moyle, was placed securely in a safety box and taken on vacation with his owner. However the wily pet escaped as Moyle was about to return to his native town in Kingsteignton.

He was later found by a local woman hidden in a rented car, but by then, Kingsley was back home in Kingsteignton, and too far away to collect his pet.

According to the BBC, Moyle said that the lady from Scotland had rented the car he used and found his pet there.

"At the end of the day he is in Scotland and by now he's probably acclimatized to life up there," said Moyle. "I've been told that this lady is happy to keep him and that's fine, hopefully it won't turn into a tug of love."
