Fighting to the death was a real possibility for a couple in Mexico who sparred until their house blew up from a homemade gasoline bomb. Reuters, citing Milenio newspaper, reports that Juan Espinosa and Irma Contreras fired guns, threw knives and threw homemade bombs.

President Bush offered the idea as a joke when he saw Slovak Prime Minister Mikulas Dzurinda's broken leg, who recently had surgery after suffering a fracture of his lower right leg.

A German burglar has managed to dodge a prison sentence due to a wee problem with his penis. Apparently the inmate suffers from a permanent erection, and that landed him a get out of jail free card. Maurice Baumann, 32, was sentenced to a year's jail for burglarizing British homes.
