Canadians, America's good neighbors to the north, can rest assured their country won't be invaded by angry Americans fleeing North after their undesirable outcome of last November's Presidential election. Only days after President George Bush won a second term in the White House, there was a surprising number of Americans visiting Canada's main immigration website, apparently wanting to leave the country and flock north.

Missy Jo, a 60-pound bulldog mix, comes with owner Tony Mills, 51, to The Chocolate Moose restaurant for a daily treat of plain cheeseburgers and vanilla milkshakes on the patio. While the seven year tradition makes missy happy, her Veterinarian does not approve of the diet.

A tabloid is making good on an offensive article that labeled a police officer who suffered disfiguring burns in a crash while on duty as "ugly. "American Media Inc. , owner of the Weekly World News, ran a list of the ''top 10 ugliest people'' in its Feb. 7 issue featuring a post-surgery photo of the disfigured officer and his wife.

A 78-year-old woman is arrested after lacing a can of cat food with rat poison to ensure her neighbor's cats stayed away from her backyard. Myrtle Maly has been charged with two felony counts of animal mistreatment after admitting to officers to placing D-Con rodent killer in a can of "Special Kitty Salmon Dinner" cat food. The woman set the trap for her neighbor's cats, Tangerine and Tiger, after the two snuck into her backyard and attacked some birds.

An elderly Australian couple take police on a 1,400 mile chase in protest after the wife was denied an extension of her driving license because of old age. Tom and Marian Foulkes, both in their 80s, drove from their Melbourne home in the southern state of Victoria to the north of New South Wales state and halfway back again, avoiding police searching for them.
