Welsh Hospitals To Stop Collecting Parking Fees

Starting April 1, some Welsh hospitals will no longer collect parking fees. Welsh Assembly Government's Health Minister Edwin Hart said National Health Service trusts with existing contracts with private car parking companies must start reducing the parking fees until the agreement lapses. By 2011, only four Welsh hospitals out of 130 will still levy parking charges because of the long-term time frames of their contracts.

Man In Santa Hat Robs New Hamphshire Bank

A man in his 20's and wearing a Santa Claus hat and a scarf robbed a bank in Londonberry, New Hampshire taking away an undetermined amount of cash on Tuesday. Londonberry police are investigating the 5:00 p. m. robbery at St. Mary's Bank in Nashua Road and are gathering evidence that will lead them to the suspect.

Four-Foot Long Sturgeon Knocks Fla. Man Unconscious

A Florida man riding a personal watercraft on the Suwannee River was knocked unconscious after a 4-foot long sturgeon jumped out of water and hit him. According to wildlife officials the man was air-lifted and hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. According to a statement from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Blake Nicholas Fessenden, 23, was heading north on the Suwannee River Sunday just north of the Hart Springs Sand Bar when he was hit by the long snout fish.

Woman Finds More Than 20 Snakes In Her Car

Much to her chagrin, an Oregon woman found more than 20 slithering creatures in her car. Sherry Hart was on a shopping trip to when she found snakes wriggling all inside her coupe. After purchasing her groceries from the store, Hart returned to her car in the parking lot and found a pair of garter snakes on the back seat of her car. To her surprise, she then found more under a floor mat.
