Erectile Dysfunction Funds Redirected To Hurricane Relief

The House will redirect federal funds covering erectile dysfunction drugs to hurricane relief efforts. The bill's sponsor says the government will save $690 million over five years by prohibiting Medicare and Medicaid health care programs from subsidizing prescriptions for sexual performance drugs.

Laxative Prank Spells Trouble For Former Nursing Home Workers

A prank pulled last year by two former nursing home employees could possibly land them in jail. Lisa Kilburn, 27, and Kim Congleton, 30, both former certified nursing assistants at Irvine Health and Rehabilitation Center, stand accused of administering laxatives to patients who did not need them, including older and medically-sensitive people, many of which suffered pain and rectal bleeding.

Catholic Priest Pricks Children With Unsterilized Pin

The Catholic Diocese of Austin is investigating a priest who called about 15 children to come forward during an evening Mass so he could prick them with an unsterilized pin. Reverend Arthur Michalka was attempting to demonstrate the pain Jesus suffered during his crucifixion. He says he was trying to teach the children suffering is a part of life. Helen Osman, communications director for the Austin diocese, says no one reacted badly during the incident at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Wednesday night. The priest pricked both adults and children.
