For the second time and in less than two weeks, another anonymous donor gave 31 $100 bills in a Christmas card to the Salvation Army's Red Kettle campaign at Boyer's IGA in Orwigsburg on Saturday. The organization received 30 $100 as a donation at Pottsville earlier this month in a Frackville kettle.

A 60-year-old woman charged two boys, aged 11 and 14, with breaking into her residence and trying to sexually abuse her, police said Tuesday. Detective Scott Stanfield said the incident happened in July when the two boys, who wore bandanas and gloves, broke through the woman's window and one of them allegedly tried to sexually assault the old woman but the boy stopped when a heart device was set off.

After seeing their king leaving a hospital last month in a pink shirt and blazer, Thais are rushing in to stores to get their own pink apparel in what appears to be the latest fashion craze in Thailand. According to Phufa fashion chain, they have sold more than 40,000 pink shirts last month alone.

A school in Devon has effectively banned elementary pupils from donning angel wings during nativity plays citing health and safety reasons. The headmistress of Sacred Heart , RC Primary in Paignton, Devon, Linda Mitchell said the order was made for fear that the angel wings could catch on fire from the children carrying candles in the play.

Filipino youths are finding a way to fight drug-induced "fun" with "Mardi-Drugs" a week-long activity, including cheering and street dance competition in the heart of the Philippines' financial center. Students from Makati City's 42 public and private school will commence the Mardi Drugs on Wednesday in an effort to launch an anti-drugs campaign not just based on slogans but also to provide the youth with an alternative fun. The activities are in line with the celebration of the Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Week.
