Policemen in the capital city of the Philippines are now donning a new headgear to complement their uniform just in time for the Christmas season - Santa Claus hats. "We are wearing this to show the people that during this Christmas season our hearts and minds are on serving the Filipino people," said Manila police spokesman Giovanni Valera.

"Hello Kitty" - the Japanese animation character has found a new job in the Thai police department. The cute round-faced cat will now punish any officer in Bangkok who is late, parks in the wrong place or commits other minor transgressions. The bad cops breaking the rules will be made to wear the large, bright pink Hello Kitty armband, which has two hearts embroidered on it.

The communist leaders in China have decided to tone down some of the "threatening" slogans used by the government to promote its one-child policy. Those to be removed include slogans such as. "One more baby means one more tomb;" "Raise fewer babies but more piggies;" and "House toppled, cows confiscated, if abortion demand rejected. "

In the first incident of its kind, burglars who robbed the Guyandotte United Methodist Church in West Virginia changed their minds and returned the loot money the very next night of stealing it. According to church treasurer Rocky Frazier, burglars first broke into the church on Monday night and stole about $5,000 worth of sound and office equipment. However, the looted stuff, along with cash was returned the very next night.

If two is company; three is definitely not a crowd for Lynette and Dusty Johnson, who were blessed with three babies when they were expecting one large infant. A community benefit was held last Sunday for the couple to help ease medical costs and living expenses for triplets Marissa, Silas and Anna, who were born Nov. 14.
