A man was accidentally shot in the arm after a rescuer tried to free him from the jaws of a crocodile in Northern Australia. Police said Jason Grant was collecting crocodile eggs near a popular tourist spot on the Mary River, near Darwin, when he was attacked by the reptile.

A 16-year-old Aussie teenager who threw up a wild house party while his parents were out of town, may face a $17,850 bill after police officers tried to disperse revelers by calling in a helicopter Monday. The teenage boy hosted a party on Saturday night which turned out of control when hundreds of teenagers arrived in to his house in Narre Warren, Melbourne suburb to party.

A chain of hotels in United Kingdom on Thursday revealed a list of odd object left in their hotels last year which include among others, an urn full of human ashes, a glass eye, lucky charms, mayoral chains and even children. Travelodge reported that in the past year, they have recovered so many unusual objects left behind by their clients.

The California Highway Patrol managed to catch one of four minivan thieves, thanks to a three-pound Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix named Tink. Police were responding to a call of a stolen minivan, with three juveniles and an adult as the suspects. The four fugitives then crashed the vehicle into a hillside near the home of Wendy Anderson.

A U. S. Navy crew came to the aid of a teenage girl suffering from a ruptured appendix while at sea aboard a cruise ship over the weekend. The girl was lifted onto a helicopter and transported the nearest hospital facility. . . a nuclear aircraft carrier. The girl, 14-year old Laura Montero, became ill Friday while aboard the Dawn Princess, a cruise ship located off the coast of Baja, California. The ship sent out a distress call, which was received by the USS Ronald Reagan, 500 miles away.
