Britain's Prince Andrew says the $997,100. 00 of tax payers' money he spends on traveling the world is "cheap at the price. " The 47-year-old - nicknamed Air Miles Andy for his frequent flying - is the British ambassador for trade and insists his role requires him to travel to meet foreign ministers and captains of industry. Prince Andrew told Britain's Independent on Sunday newspaper: "If you're doing what I'm doing, the only way to increase a country's awareness of what the U. K. can provide is to go and visit and maintain that relationship.

A 40-year-old man from Poland chopped off his own genitals with a knife after his wife left him. Tadeus Konopizc, who hails from Zakopane, cut off his penis and testicles with a 15cm kitchen knife in a fit of anger after drowning more than one bottle of Vodka. According to reports, the man, who was in excruciating pain, still managed to call doctors to tell them about his idiotice deed and asked for help. The paramedics arrived on the scene and immediately asked for a helicopter to airlift the man to a special hospital, where they hoped to restore his penis back.

A moose apparently annoyed by being shot with a tranquilizer dart charged the rear rotor of a hovering helicopter, colliding with it and eventually bringing it down to the ground. The pilot and a wildlife biologist aboard the helicopter were not injured in the incident but the moose had to be euthanized. As a part of his study on moose, biologist Kevin White shot the animal with a tranquilizer dart and followed it while the pilot maneuvered the helicopter to keep the animal from slipping into a tight space or collapsing in water and drowning, Doug Larsen, regional supervisor for the Division of Wildlife Conservation told the Anchorage Daily news.

A drunken businessman in London who fell asleep on a railway track was fined 560 pounds ($1102. 75) and sentenced to 180 hours of community service on Friday. He reportedly caused a disruption to rail services for about four hours during the peak afternoon rush hour. According to Network Rail staff, the man Kevin Craswell, who happens to be the company director, passed out on a line near Epsom last March after drinking a large amount of vodka.
