A man was accused of poisoning his children's soup on three different occasions in an attempt to get money from Campbell Soup Company. William Allen Cunningham, 40 had made phone calls to the New Jersey-based company complaining that the soup made his children ill.

The "Polar Bear Jail" in the Canadian town of Churchill will be expanding to house more wayward carnivores. According to press reports, the facility was built in 1980 in the polar bear capital of the world.
