Mariah Carey only records her new album at night. The "Hero" singer - who is currently working on her new record, entitled "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" - is driving record producers to distraction with her refusal to work during daylight hours. Mariah wrote on her page on social networking website Twitter in the early hours of Wednesday morning: "In the studio. driving the engineer crazy cos I'm a control freak and once again we're STARTING at 1:16 am..perfectly normal: ) (sic)"

A Michigan waitress is being praised as a hero by authorities and the family of a toddler she saved from choking to death. Stacy Gordon, 31, a waitress at the Green Oak Township, Michigan TGI Fridays, noticed Ava Marenda with her head and eyes rolled back, not breathing and she had a mouthful of raisins and other snacks. Gordon, who is training to be a medical assistant, sprung into action.
Sullenberger, Crew In Hudson Plane Tell House Panel About 'Burned Bird Smell'
Crew members, including pilot Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger, of the U.S. Airways flight that crashed on the Hudson River last month without any casualties are currently testifying before the House Transportation and Infrastructure panel. Authorities are still investigating whether a bird strike had caused the accident. "It was a completely unremarkable flight," Sullenberger, who has been hailed as a hero for keeping all 155 passengers of the plane alive, told the panel on Tuesday. "The take-off and initial departure were normal up until the screen was filled by birds."
Plane's River Landing Hailed As Miracle, Pilot As Hero After No Lives Lost
The pilot who safely landed a crippled U.S. Airways jetliner on the Hudson River Thursday was hailed a hero and the incident a miracle after no one died from the mishap. Reports quoted passengers of the plane as crediting Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger III, 57, of Danville, California for saving the lives of all150 passengers and four other crew members aboard the Airbus A320 that lost power after its two engines struck and sucked birds on the air.
