A man furious about the apparent commotion he was hearing from above his apartment leaned out his window to find himself catching his falling neighbor. Orlando Fonseca, 29, caught his neighbor Kim Koeon, 30, who had fallen through her broken third-floor window and was clinging to the sill by her fingertips.

A 12-year-old boy managed to fight off a mugger by breaking his nose after the suspected thug jumped from behind a bush and tried to steal his cellular phone. The mugger was mistaken when he thought the young boy would be an easy target for him, only to find out seconds later that he had met his match in the struggle.

As a delivery man for Galactic Pizza, Cameron Evans dons a superhero costume of orange tights and a black cape and boots before he goes on his delivery rounds as "Luke Pie Rocker. " Little did he know a purse snatcher would provide him with a real opportunity to save the day. The AP reports Teresa Skarman, 55, was walking home Tuesday night when a man grabbed her bag. She screamed for help, and Evans took off after the snatcher.

A British man who brought traffic to a standstill when he staged a anti-China protest dressed as Spiderman, won his appeal Friday against his jail sentence, his lawyer said. Matt Pearce, 30, has been convicted of causing a public nuisance when he scaled a giant street-side video screen on a building in June last year dressed as the comic-book super hero. The stunt was staged to draw attention to commemorations of the June 4, 1989 Tiananmen pro-democracy crackdown in Beijing.
