Hollywood actress and Environmentalist Cameron Diaz has made a surprise visit to a Stanford University classroom to help with a lecture on environmentally friendly designs. The actress, known for her reality-travel show "Trippin" to help promote ecological awareness and who also drives a hybrid car, served as a sidekick for friend and renowned environmental architect William McDonough, a consulting professor at Stanford.

Visitors will discover the most macabre item at a new exhibit titled, "The Ted Williams Memorial Display with Death Mask," as part of the Ben Affleck 2004 World Series Collection, hosted by the Chelsea district's First Street Gallery. The gallery debuts this season with the unveiling of the 'death mask' of baseball great Ted Williams' clinically decapitated frozen head. The death mask, likely the most unique collectible of the sports hero ever created, depicts Williams as he exists now. . . in a "cryonic sleep. "

Bruce Lee will become a new symbol of unity for the ethnically divided Bosnian city of Mostar, when it erects a statue of the kung fu legend. Worshipped by Muslims, Serbs and Croats, a group of enthusiasts came up with the idea of honouring the childhood hero of the city's ethnic groups in 2003, on the 30th anniversary of his death. They launched the project, found donors and waited a year for the city's approval.

A teenager turns in a substitute school bus driver who smelled of alcohol as he sped down the road with the schoolchildren on board, police say. The 17-year-old girl, whose name was not released, ushered a group of remaining students off the bus when she reached her stop.
