Man, 90, Sentenced for Smuggling Heroin

A 90-year-old Taiwanese man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison and ordered to pay a $4,900 fine after he was convicted of trying to smuggle 4. 2 pounds of heroin. Huang Fang-hou is the oldest foreigner convicted of drug trafficking in Cambodia. He was arrested last May after they found heroin strapped to his body under his clothes at Phnom Penh's International Airport.

83-Year-Old Retiree Woman Charged With Drug Smuggling At Border

U. S. border agents arrested an 83-year-old U. S. citizen on Thursday as she entered California across the Mexican border on drug charges. Officials report that she is being held for suspicion of smuggling 10 pounds of methamphetamine found strapped to her body. The woman, a retiree, along with two Mexican nationals were stopped in their car at a U. S. border crossing in San Ysidro, California, just north of Tijuana, Mexico.

Woman Charged With Transporting Heroin-Soaked Underwear

Beijing, China - A Chinese woman was charged with transporting 15 items of underwear soaked in 3. 5lbs. of heroin. The woman appeared in a Shanghai court Thursday and pleaded innocent, claiming the underwear was planted in her luggage after two men offered her a job and a plane ticket to Shanghai. Wang Zhiqin, 42, from Wuhan, capital of China's central province of Hubei, said in court that she had no idea her pink trunk contained panties and long johns that had been soaked in the drug.

Benjamin Ratliffe, 21, made a mockery of the justice system as he tried to wiggle his way out of a jury duty. According to the judge, Ratliffe said he was a Heroin addict and a killer. Charged with contempt of court, Ratliffe was ordered to spend a night in jail.
