A 76-year-old woman accused of producing and selling heroin from her home has been arrested. Esther Gomez had allegedly been selling black-tar heroin out of her home for years. On Thursday, Gomez was arrested after authorities received information that led to a search warrant. She was charged with possession with intent to deliver and released on a $20,000 bond.

Danish police found more than $1 million worth of heroin that had been smuggled into the country from Pakistan in the hollowed-out blades of 25 antique sword replicas. The police seized the drugs after raiding the apartment of a British man who had died earlier from a drug overdose along with a woman of unknown nationality in a hotel room in Copenhagen.

After a year-long investigation, 32 South Floridians are being charged with drug-related crimes. The group is responsible for actions taken out under "Operation Carpetbagger. "U. S. Attorney R. Alexander Acosta says the investigation into "Operation Carpetbagger" focused on heroin smuggling and distribution organization, mainly in Palm Beach County.
