Authorities at a woman's house discovered a black python that they said might have been in the residence for two months, without the woman's knowledge.
Officers from animal control received the report from the woman, who had been living in her apartment for two months, was watching television when the snake slithered out from behind the set.
Authorities eventually managed to retrieve the snake and remove it from her home, reported the UPI.
Upon interviewing the woman, police surmised that the snake might have been left behind by the apartment's previous tenant.
WBALTV Baltimore reported that the snake will be held in custody of the Anne Arundel County police, which will hold it for the owner for five days.
