n 18-year-old high school senior class president was arrested on Tuesday for hacking into the school's computer system and tampering with students' grades.
Cooper City High School student and senior class president Ryan C. Shrouder was arrested at school, taken to the Broward County jail and charged with two counts of computer crime with intent to defraud, a second-degree felony, the Sun-Sentinel reports.
Shrouder, who allegedly used a Broward School Board employee's password to access the district's network and change the grades of 19 students, will be suspended by the school and recommended for expulsion.
Although, Shrouder is considered the main suspect, school officials are not yet sure if other students were involved in the grade-tampering scandal as well.
School officials say they were shocked by the charges against Shrouder, who had been elected leader of his sophomore, junior and senior classes at Cooper City High and was recently voted by classmates "most likely to be president" of the United States.
