Piscataway police discover a three foot alligator as they make the rounds to help people from their homes in flooded portions of the town which has seen over a foot of rain in the last ten-days. "It's not normal to find an alligator around here," Lt. George Maurer tells the Associated Press. "I know we've had a lot of rain but come on!. "

An 8-year-old little girl with a compassionate heart and very loose tooth found a creative way to help people displaced by the hurricanes. Briton Nordmeyer of Brandon, South Dakota mailed her tooth to the Red Cross chapter in Sioux Falls, in hopes the tooth fairy would leave money with the charity instead of under her pillow.

Maryann Reid, author of "Marry Your Baby Daddy," organized "Marry Your Baby Daddy Day" Thursday, during which ten couples who have children and have been living together for years were married. Reid organized the ceremony citing there are too many single-parent families within the black community. She hopes the ceremony will help break the cycle of broken homes.

A Census Bureau survey reveals for the first time, there are more than 1 million owner-occupied homes in the United States worth $1 million or more. In most cases, however, the "million-dollar" price tag doesn't live up to its connotation - particularly in high-priced areas like New York, San Francisco and Southern California.
