Edward Boniberger and his girlfriend Marnie Hall found a winning lottery ticket of $2,500 on the ground at a store on Monday.
But, showing honesty, they gave ticket to a police officer, who found its owner and returned it to her.
Quoting Detective Sergeant, AP reported, that the owner of the ticket, Mary Ann Doerrbecker, had no idea that her winning ticket was missing.
Later, Mary met the couple and offered them a reward, but the honest couple refused to accept it and also advised Mary to donate the reward money.
