A giant mechanical elephant that is 12-meters high is to take to the streets of London. The Sultan's Elephant, the three-story model that is part of an outdoor theatre spectacular, will be one of the nation's most unusual artistic performances.

A British man who brought traffic to a standstill when he staged a anti-China protest dressed as Spiderman, won his appeal Friday against his jail sentence, his lawyer said. Matt Pearce, 30, has been convicted of causing a public nuisance when he scaled a giant street-side video screen on a building in June last year dressed as the comic-book super hero. The stunt was staged to draw attention to commemorations of the June 4, 1989 Tiananmen pro-democracy crackdown in Beijing.

He surely didn't need David Beckham's BMW or James Bond's latest wheels to make a getaway on this one. A man on a horse and cart made an amazing escape by out-doing four cops motorbikes, a patrol car, a video van, two cycling constables and a helicopter in a slow-motion chase through east Leeds, England. The 34-year-old man, who has been kept unidentified, is wanted in connection with a serious assault and was spotted by an officer on a bicycle on a side road. The man jumped on to a horse and cart and galloped away.

A German man complained that the horse he just bought was impotent, so a court ordered that viagra be given to the stallion. Reuters reports that the buyer in the eastern town of Neuruppin refused to pay the full asking price, and shelled out just a tenth of the 4,000 Euro fee ($4,870).
