A Kasas woman files a lawsuit against a Lake Saint Louis Denny's restaurant, claiming workers left cleaning fluid on a toilet seat, causing burns to her buttocks. The complaint says Kathleen Williams of Leavenworth County had to be taken to the hospital after sitting on the toilet in February 2002. While she didn't see the chemical cleaner on the seat, she did feel it burn as soon as she sat down.

Pennsylvania police investigate the armed robbery of two garbage collectors that left one of them in the hospital with a head injury. John White and co-worker Kevin McDonough were taken to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center after they were assaulted.

A Stamford, Connecticut mother was arrested on Tuesday after she accidentally locked her 23-month-old son in her new Audi and refused to give firefighters permission to break the window on the car to gain access to the child. Susan Guita Silverstein, 42, is charged with reckless endangerment and risk of injury to a minor.

Four Boy Scout leaders were killed in a freak electrocution accident, late Monday afternoon, during the opening ceremony of the Boy Scouts of America's annual Jamboree. One other leader and a contract worker were injured and are listed in stable condition at a local hospital.

China's official news agency Xinhua reports a mysterious disease has killed 17 farmers in southwestern China. 41 more are been hospitalized. Preliminary investigations reveal the victims became infected after butchering sick pigs or sheep. Xinhua also says those affected have developed symptoms like high fever, fatigue, nausea and vomiting.
