The "miracle" woman from Egypt, who gave birth to septuplets on Saturday, hopes to soon be able to hold her newborn babies, doctors said Sunday. The 27-year-old Ghazala Khamis delivered four boys and three girls, who are reported to be in stable condition, at the el-Shatbi hospital in the coastal Egyptian city of Alexandria on Saturday.

A Texas drugstore cowboy's efforts were thwarted Thursday after he robbed a pharmacy only to find he'd locked his keys in the get-away car. According to reports, John Wilkinson, 24, robbed the Stanton Drug Store with a caulking gun covered in a towel. He stole Xanax and Hydrocodine before leaving the store to discover his blunder. Then, he fled on foot.

Several New York City residents pitched in Thursday to lift a five-ton bus off a dying pregnant woman, saving her unborn baby in the process. New York City Police Department traffic agent Donnette Sanz, 33, was crossing a Bronx street when a van struck her, knocking her into the path of a 10,000-pound school bus. She was run over and pinned under the bus.

Two babies in neighboring states have created a history by being born at 8:08 a. m. on the eighth day of August, weighing in at 8 pounds, 8 ounces. Hailey Jo Hauer is born to Lindsay Hauer via cesarean section that was scheduled for 8 a. m. Friday morning at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. According to doctors that is a "once in a million" case as this date will come only once in a hundred years.

A six-year-old Texas girl whose brain had been partly removed through surgery to save her life from a rare neurological disease returned home for good Thursday. Jessie Hall walked out of Cook's Children's Medical Center, where she had been undergoing therapy after her operation at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland in June. She will continue her therapy at her family's house in Aledo.
