A U. S. official said that two medical choppers collided in mid-air killing at least six passengers, and leaving one in critical condition in Arizona. Authorities said the incident occurred near a hospital in Flagstaff, around 3:45 p. m. local time on Sunday, when both helicopters were on their way to the hospital.

A man died here Tuesday evening after drinking 23 shots of vodka in 30 minutes, Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies said. A four-year-old girl accidentally shot herself in the chest with her grandmother's gun inside a Sam's Club store here Monday. The girl was rushed to a hospital for treatment and is now recovering. The child, whose name was withheld, was with her grandmother, Donna Hutto Williamson, shopping at the supermarket when the incident happened. The girl, who was sitting in a shopping cart, grabbed a small-caliber handgun from her grandmother's purse and then accidentally pulled the trigger.
