Employees at a Mexico hospital are gleaming in excitement over a recent birth. The reason of their excitement is the enormous size of the baby. Antonio Vasconcelos, who has been nicknamed "Super Tonio" by visitors weighed 14. 5 pounds at birth, well above the normal weight for a newborn. According to hospital authorities, the baby is perfectly fine and drinks 5 ounces of milk every three hours.

In what the doctors call a miracle, a man who went missing in western Japan survived in near-freezing weather without food and water for over three weeks by falling into a state similar to hibernation. The Japanese man, Mitsutaka Uchikoshi, had almost no pulse, when he was rescued.

Claudia De'Alwis is making an amazingly speedy recovery and now looks forward to a very special Christmas this year. According to The Daily Mail, the doctors are happy that De'Alwis is making a speedy discovery ever since the song has been played at the hospital's radio.

Hospitals in East Lancashire, England have issued a directive ordering all hospital staff not to wear socks with characters like Donald Duck or Homer Simpson or they will face disciplinary action. The Trust, the organization that oversees hospitals in the counties of Burnley, Blackburn and Rossendale counties, issued the order.

A baby boy born Tuesday at the William W. Backus Hospital weighed in at nearly 15 pounds, the average size of a 6-month-old. Born to Marie Michel, the infant, Stephon Hendrix Louis-Jean, broke the hospital's 18-year record of the biggest baby, by weighing in at 14 pounds, 13 ounces and measuring nearly 23 inches in length. "He's built like a linebacker," Dr. David Kalla, who delivered the baby by Caesarean section, told the AP.
