A baby boy born Tuesday at the William W. Backus Hospital weighed in at nearly 15 pounds, the average size of a 6-month-old. Born to Marie Michel, the infant, Stephon Hendrix Louis-Jean, broke the hospital's 18-year record of the biggest baby, by weighing in at 14 pounds, 13 ounces and measuring nearly 23 inches in length. "He's built like a linebacker," Dr. David Kalla, who delivered the baby by Caesarean section, told the AP.

Serial Killer Nurse Donates Kidney To Ex-Girlfriend's Brother

A serial killer nurse who admitted killing 29 patients donates one of his kidneys to the brother of an ex-girlfriend. Charles Cullen had threatened to skip his sentencing hearing if he was not permitted to be the donor. In February, a judge approved Cullen's removal from prison for the operation.

One of only eight known photographs of Florence Nightingale goes on display in the United Kingdom Monday. The black-and-while photo shows Nightingale reading in front of her family home in Hampshire. Taken in 1858, the photo was snapped by a local pharmacist Nightingale met while gathering medical supplies for her trip to the Crimea.

A rundown car described as the "biggest pile of crap on Ebay" finds fame on the Internet by generating 34,000 hits and selling for about $549. The surprising popularity of the entry prompted the owner to turn it into an event for charity. The owner is Jason McCluskey, 31, a chef from Portsmouth on the southern English coast. He had listed his beat up 1985 Volkswagen Polo for sale starting at 12 cents for "a bit of light-hearted humor".

In rural Cambodia where doctors and hospitals are scarce, poor villagers are turning to a magic elephant which is believed to cure illnesses ranging from typhoid to high blood pressure. A few times a month, Yey Proheu, a 70-year-old female elephant goes around to villages to offer relief to the sick with mahout, Pang Hy, and his assistants.
