The anti-theft device on a stolen MacBook allowed its White Plains, NY, owner to recover the laptop after thieves stole it. When the woman's MacBook was stolen, she activated the Back To My Mac screen sharing feature, which turned on her webcam and captured photos of the thieves.

To curb the wave of crimes in the national capital, Washington Police Chief Cathy Lanier made a book on social epidemics a required reading for police officers. The book is "Tipping Point" by Malcolm Gladwell. Its about New York City's efforts to stop its transit system from further decay by cleaning up its graffiti.

An audit will be conducted on the trustees of the Toronto Catholic District School Board after Ontario discovered excessive spending by the trustees. Dale Davis pounded out 2 consecutive strikes for a 300 score Saturday evening, even though his vision is peripheral -- he can't see straight ahead. For the past decade, Davis has suffered from from macular degeneration, a chronic eye disease, which prevents him from seeing see out of his left eye and limiting peripheral vision in his right eye.

Some 20,000 homes lost power midday Thursday when an iguana shorted out high-voltage equipment operated by Florida Power and Light. Electricity was out for about half an hour. The iguana will be out for a much longer time.

This time over a former girlfriend who has been linked to a biker gang. Bernier's ex was Julie Couillard, a former model and aspiring actress, who had relationships with two men linked with the Hells Angels biker gang.
