A Florida high school teen has decided to see the war-torn destruction of Iraq by going to the country by himself - as a tourist. Farris Hassan, 16, a student of Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was inspired by his "immersion journalism" to take the trip. Farris left America three weeks ago, using money given to him by his parents, but opted not to tell them about his plans.

Firefighters visited the same downtown hotel this past week after two fires broke out in the same block of guestrooms in the same hotel, within one hour of each other. The first fire was called in at about 1:30 p. m. , after lint inside a dryer in the laundry room apparently ignited. Firefighters put out that blaze and went back to the hotel at about 2:30 p. m. when a room caught fire.

The 24-year-old singer and her longtime boyfriend, music mogul Jordan Bratman exchanged vows Saturday in a lavish ceremony at Napa Valley's Auberge Du Soleil resort. Us Weekly reports on its Web site that Aguilera walked down the aisle in a Christian Lacroix gown, her hair decorated in jewels and pulled back with white flowers. The bridesmaids wore dresses designed by Kai Milla, Stevie Wonder's wife. The couple exchanged rings in front of about 130 guests.
