A seven-year-old boy was offered as human sacrifice on the advice of a self-style god's messanger in Southern Indian district of Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu state some days before, local police informed on Sunday.

According to a report carried by PTI, the police officials said the accused man Rajavel and his wife Vasanthi of Kuppam village unable to marry off their half dozen sons and had been consulting with a self-style God's messanger, Kathiresan, for the solution of their problem.

Kathiresan suggested that the marriages were getting cancelled due to evil spirit and a human sacrifice can solve the problem. Under the direction of self style God's messanger the couple perfomed human sacrifice of Satish, a teenager son of their neighbour in a local temple.

Later, villagers found the death body of boy and lodged a complaint against Rajavel, Vasanthi and Kathiresan. All three are under the custody of police.
