The mayor of a certain Budapest district has ordered to have all female staff working in his city hall to have "perfect legs" and wear skirts no shorter than one inch above the knee.

Gabor Mitynan, a well known conservative, also wants his staff to wear blazers during the summer because he thinks that most look like the are dressed like beggars or vacationers when they come into the office. He is also imposing a ban on tank tops for women, saying that most don't have fit enough bodies to pull off the look.

Mitynan is considered one of a kind in Budapest's 23 mostly liberal and socialist districts. His proposals stand almost no chance of being passed by the city assembly.

Liberal Budapest Mayor Gabor Demszky described the proposals as "crass," according to the state news agency MTI.
