A Deputy in Florida has been fired, after allegedly posting "inappropriate information" on his MySpace.com homepage.

The social networking website, which is often in the news as a medium for child predators to catch their prey, was the basis for a Marion County sheriff's deputy to be charged with conduct unbecoming an officer.

According to the Ocala-Star Banner, Brian Quinn, 26, was fired after his profile included a photo of him in uniform, mild curse words and comments about drinking and women.

According to the sheriff's office, the posting was brought to the attention of detectives in the MYICU (Marion Youth Internet Crimes Unit) who notified supervisors through the chain of command. Due to the nature of the information on the blog, Sheriff Ed Dean met with senior staff members and made the decision to release Quinn from his duties.
