Newspaper reports indicate police raided a cinema in the Balasore district in the eastern state of Orissa, forcing audience members, some as young as 17, to do 10 sit-ups each in a public square, under the watchful eyes of onlookers.

Sari makers also turn the condoms inside out, place them on their fingers and use the high-quality lubricant to polish gold and silver threads used in the traditional Indian women's outfits.
