Authorities are investigating the case of a "burly Indian" stowaway who managed to sneak onto a Singapore Airlines (SIA) cargo flight and sit just meters behind the pilots. The incident raises security concerns because unlike passenger jets, there is no cockpit door protecting the pilots. The unidentified man was caught an hour into the seven-hour flight from Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates, to Amsterdam, Netherlands. The plane was forced to turn back to the UAE where the man was arrested.

A girl born with four arms and four legs was successfully operated on Wednesday after an arduous 24-hour procedure done by doctors in the Southern Indian city of Bangalore. Dr. Sharan Patil of Sparsh Hospital, who led a team of more than 30 surgeons in the operation, stated that the surgery went "wonderfully well," removing Lakshmi Tatma's extra limbs, salvaging her organs and restoring her pelvis area.

Afrol News on Thursday ran a satiric comic strip panel on the United Republic of Tanzania. Located in East Africa and bordered by Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique and the Indian Ocean, the tiny nation is one of the poorest countries on earth. As is the case in much of Africa, Tanzania has had more than its share of problems, but perhaps not as many problems as Zimbabwe has had.

It's back to law school for an Indian judge who has penned several "problematic rulings. "No less than New Delhi's High Court justices ordered Judge R. K. Tiwari late Friday to take a three-month refresher course after issuing an arrest warrant, effectively defying a directive from the supreme tribunal.

A 40-year-old Indian woman who claimed Mother Teresa miraculously cured her cancer, has accused Missionaries of Charity nuns of abandoning her in poverty stricken situation. The Missionaries of Charity, a congregation founded by Mother Teresa in eastern Indian, 310 miles from Kolkata in 1950, was busy preparing for the Albanian-born 10th death anniversary Wednesday.
