A German court has ruled that employees attending office parties are considered to be at work until the supervisor leaves. The court issued its ruling in the case of an employee who filed suit for damages sustained as a result of a head injury at a company Christmas party. The case was filed by a man who's employer, an insurance company, refused to pay disability for his injury. He slipped on the steps of a restaurant after an office Christmas party.

Myron Manders, 81, wants to prove to the Social Security Administration that he is not dead. Last November, Manders was preparing to leave a hospital where he was treated for pneumonia when he was informed his insurance company would not pay the bill because they believed Manders to be dead.

A man trying to get out of debt, attempted to commit insurance fraud and was caught after authorities dug up his totaled BMW. Matthew Mueller was facing a huge repair bill when he totaled the engine in his 1997 BMW, so he decided burying the car with a backhoe and collecting a settlement was a better option.
