An Indiana appeals court Tuesday ruled in favor of an exotic dancer who reportedly injured herself while pole dancing at a Ft. Wayne, Indiana strip club. According to court documents, Angela Hobson suffered injuries after performing a pole dance at the Shangri-La West club in December 2001. She said she reported soreness and numbness to her supervisors, which they later denied. Soon after the incident, she required surgery for a herniated disc in her cervical spine.

A 49-year-old man from Boston, Mass. pleaded guilty Wednesday in U. S. District Court to collecting thousands of dollars of false insurance money after he and his wife intentionally ate glass in various restaurants. According to prosecutors, Ronald Evano was supported by his wife, Mary Evano to file fraudulent insurance claims worth more than $200,000. He pleaded guilty to 20 counts of conspiracy, mail fraud, wire fraud, identity theft, making false statements on health care matters and Social Security fraud.

Japanese men have turned to cell phone cameras to help them lose weight by keeping track of how many calories they eat. The scheme is simple. Instead of using a paper and pencil to record what they eat in a day, then look up the calories of that food and add them all up the men just pull out their cell phones and snap a photo of what they are about to stuff in their mouths.

A New York couple, who paid $25,000 to clean up bat droppings in their attic, are currently in a court battle with their insurance company to reimburse the cost. Nick LaBoda and Jenna Caputo purchased an upstate home in New York's Saratoga County, but were not aware the bats found in their attic would drag them to court and cost so much.

Brenda Comer is crediting her smoking habit for saving her life. The 53-year-old resident of Rock Hill, South Carolina had just came out of her kitchen for a smoke break when an 80-foot long oak tree crashed through her roof landing exactly there where she had been standing few moments earlier. Recalling the Monday morning's incident to The Herald, Comer said she had just finished washing her dishes and went out for a puff when the giant tree crashed through the kitchen roof, right across the sink where she had been standing.
