The artwork of a 7-year-old boy raising money for his cancer treatments is the latest unconventional eBay purchase by an Internet casino.
Goldenpalace.com paid more than $2,800 dollars for the watercolors.
Maddox Johnson, of Union, Kentucky, came up with the idea of auctioning his watercolors online with the eBay service to help defray the costs of his chemotherapy treatments for T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma.
The representatives from Goldenpalace.com, frequently in the news for making unusual eBay purchases, became involved, the Jacksonville Times Union reported.
Goldenpalace.com spokesman Jeff Kay said such purchases as actor William Shatner's kidney stone and a grilled cheese sandwich with the image of the Virgin Mary help keep the casino's name in the news.
