A 70-year-old woman had her weirdest night when an unidentified man broke into her home, offered her $500 to hide him and fled wearing some of her clothing.

Sandra Rowells did not have to think twice when Police asked her to recognize Jahmell Kareem, 33, of Winston-Salem as the suspect because he wore her favorite T-shirt.

AP quotes Rowells as saying, "It made me mad because my daughter had just sent me that T-shirt from Florida."

According to Police records, Kareem crashed a car near Rowells' home Tuesday after a high-speed chase along Interstate 85. He then broke into Rowells home by forcing open her locked kitchen screen door.

Police charged Kareem with several charges including felony hit and run, breaking and entering, and fleeing in a vehicle to elude arrest.
