If you thought property prices in New York and San Francisco were bad, check out the cost of a 200 square foot home in Ireland. Named Neptune Cottage, it has no electricity, no toilet and no sewage capabilities. But it is selling for $145,000 in Ireland's Wicklow county, reports Reuters.

Scientists have uncovered the remains of two prehistoric men in an Irish bog, one of which is the tallest body from the Iron Age ever found. Ned Kelly, head of antiquities at the National Museum of Ireland says the 6-foot 6-inch man "would have been a giant. . . the other man was quite short, about 5 foot 2 inches. "

A nursing home in Ireland found a unique way to keep its elderly patients in a cheery mood -- by providing its own pub. St Mary's Hospital in County Monaghan, near the Irish border with Northern Ireland, believes easy access to a pint may help its patients live longer.

Four years after fleeing his trial, a man charged in a traffic accident that killed three Washington State University students has been captured in Ireland. The Irish National Police arrested 27-year-old Frederick Russell Sunday at a store where he worked in Dublin. He was working under the alias of David Carroll.
