An Irish bookmaker is attempting to stage the largest strip poker contest, and earn a place in the Guinness Book of Records.

Reuters reports the idea was originally an April Fool's joke, but so many people became interested that Paddy Power decided to look into organizing the event.

A Paddy Power spokesman says, "We got almost 100 requests to take part,... We're trying to investigate whether it's possible or whether we'll get put in prison for it."

A spokesman for Guinness World Records says its research unit is trying to decide what category the organization would fall into, "We're considering their claim and we'll get back to the organizers shortly."
