For many Lebanese and Israeli civilians caught in the crossfire of the violent fighting between the Israeli army and the Hezbollah guerillas, the Internet could be a battleground too.

Postings on online journals are a unique forum for communication between two countries.

Yahoo News took a survey of blogs in Lebanese and Israeli Web sites.

"Lebanon.profile" wrote in the "Lebanese Political Journal ( http://lebop.blogpost.com ), "I'm listening to bombs right now, as I write this. "I thought Israel was going to help prove that they would not abide with Hizbollah's weapons ... but the devastation they have wreaked on us is truly horrendous."

An Israeli blogger decribes in "Live From an Israeli Bunker," ( http://israelibunker.blogpost.com ) fleeing to a shelter in northern Israel when air raid sirens wail.

"Another four rockets hit -- we see them on TV ... Eventually people settle down, reassuring each other that everything will be fine and starting to get impatient stuck in a poorly ventilated bunker."

Israel's military offensive in Lebanon has entered its 11 days and has killed more than 350 people mostly civilians. In Israel, rockets fired by Hezbollah has claimed the lives of 34 people.

Bitterness remains a strong flavor on many blogs. "Zadir Voltaire" on his blog in "Beirut Notes," said, "Our enemy Israel is killing us but at least its civilians are dying and it is paying the price of its military adventure. So is Hizbollah."
