A bloody remnant of one of the top generals in the 1973 Middle East War is being offered for sale on eBay, at a starting bid of $10,000. The bloodstained bandage once wrapped the head of current Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon after he was injured during fighting. Sharon, a top general on the Egyptian front, was wounded when his armored vehicle was damaged by Egyptian forces at the Suez Canal, according to Reuters. The seller says he is the son of an army medic who treated Sharon's would. He kept the bandage when he put a fresh one on Sharon's head, according to a message on the Internet auction site. As of Monday afternoon, no bids had been made on the bandage. |
